The Noise, The Smell, The Dirt and The Dust
If you build it, they will come. To photograph it.
When the dust settles, cranes dismantled, tools packed, and the tape is taken down, it is time to show off what has been constructed, and open the doors.
Seeing the project to fruition is a treat in itself. From the groundbreaking through the build, the outcome of everyone’s vision and perseverance shines. Sometimes, it is a renovation of another time, others, it is a new structure.
Every time I approach a project, I look forward to the completion, as much as i do the process of capturing the feeling at the location, when everything around you is in motion. The noise, the smell, the dirt and dust.
And after the dust settles, I make the project shine.
