Welcome To The Park

Memorial park.

At 1,500 acres, this centrally located park is almost twice the size of New York city’s central park. Not to boast, it’s simply just big. During WWI, it was camp Logan, a training facility for over 70,000 soldiers. In 1924, it was established as memorial park, in honor of the fallen soldiers.

In 2015, the conservancy set out to revamp the park, creating more greenspace for the public, and restoring many areas to the natural habitat and flora. During the entire process, I documented the before, during, and after process from the ground and air. It is definitely one of the prizes in central Houston.

Get outside.
